About the Role

The Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, maintaining financial
records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The ideal
candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a
passion for contributing to the growth of a startup in the healthcare technology sector.
Financial Reporting
● Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
● Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data.
General Ledger Management
● Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
● Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
● Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
● Monitor and manage cash flow and collections.
Budgeting and Forecasting
● Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
● Track financial performance against budget and forecasts, identifying and explaining
variances.
Tax Compliance
● Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with federal, state, and local tax
regulations.
● Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Audit and Internal Controls
● Support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
● Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to ensure accuracy
and compliance.
Financial Analysis
● Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for
improvement.
● Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial
analysis.

Requirements

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


● CPA or CMA certification preferred.


● Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the healthcare or technology sector.


● Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).


● Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.


● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.


● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.


● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
